Thank you for your interest and questions regarding club membership. Our contact for club membership is Scott Franke. He can be reached at 815-978-0727 or you can email him through his contact email address listed on the contacts tab of this site. Scott is almost always out there Sunday morning for dubs. You can even discuss membership with him then if you’d like. Skins 8am, doubles 10:10am. I don’t think club membership is required, but you will have to throw in $5 into the pot to get in. Also, $1 ace $2 CTP is optional.

My husband was an avid golfer and I feel pretty good at it. All his golf friends have since moved away and he no longer belongs to a league. I would love to get him back on the course but he has no league. How can I find him a league? I also would like for him to be involved with membership. He is 60 years old and retired. Please help me with this.

A timeline has been established for the south course proposal.

Potential designs should be presented in detail at the December 4, 2012 meeting at the Olympic Tavern at 6:00pm. Forward potential designs to silvertip64@gmail.com if you have one for presentation & can't attend the meeting. The monthly club meeting is on December 2, 2012 at 1:00pm. We can collect information at that time also.

The
best design or designs will then be forwarded to the RPD for review & the other organizations sharing Anna Page (equestrian & bicycle) will check for any conflicts with their trails.

RPD representatives will then orchestrate our proposal & then help present it to the RPD Board Commissioners on or after January 22, 2013.

Construction on the course can start immediately afterwards. The RPD has offered equipment & resources including a brush mower that cuts a 12' x 12' path that leaves the wood chips as a walk path. Fairways could go where we want them & would not be limited by dense brush. Two passes with the mower & we could have 24' fairways or larger landing areas. Many of the dead trees & "widowmakers" would be removed for safety.

#18 across the road, aka "the tunnel shot", is on the table for consideration. The club or sponsors may have to provide additional funding for signage to warn traffic entering the park of the potential risk. The RPD is also considering making the loop one way going counterclockwise in the future.

Many thanks to those who helped with the Halloween Havoc & to those who attended. A full report is forthcoming.
We now look forward to our first club meeting with some new officers at their posts on Sunday November 4th at 1:00. We will have the meeting at Anna Page Park if weather permits. Many have complained about the length of meetings so I've written a basic outline to expedite our club business at meetings. Please give me feedback so I can make improvements if necessary.

Outline for GRABM meetings

Secretary’s Report
Minutes from last meeting

Treasurer’s Report
Assets & expenses

TD’s Report
Leagues & tournaments

VP’s Report
Fund raising, tournament & league sponsorship, media, etc

President’s Report
Interaction with RPD & other entities

1.	Secretary will announce motions for final vote from previous meetings.

2.	President will open the floor for motions (motions require a 2nd to be put into the records). Discussion will follow the motion. An interim vote will follow only if immediate action is required. Final vote on the motion will then be tabled until the next scheduled meeting.

3.	General discussion on business may precede or follow the meeting but it will not be included in club records or be subject to vote. Person who presides over the meeting will open & close meetings so members know when the floor is open for motions or votes. Any officer can fulfill other officer’s duties at scheduled meetings in the case they can’t attend.
